William Marshall-Smith (CEO)
William has over seven years experience in corporate finance, public private investing in South Africa. He is currently a director of Blackstar Group (Proprietary) Limited (“Blackstar Group”). Blackstar Group is an investment advisor to Blackstar Investors Plc, has invested in excess £75 million into 11 investments in South Africa. Since the inception of Blackstar, William has been intricately involved in these investments. He also worked for Deloitte in their financial services division in New York USA, Cape Town South Africa and the Isle of Man United Kingdom.
Barry Charles Budler (CA) SA - Group Financial Director
Barry Budler holds a B.Com. Honours in Accounting and is a Chartered Accountant. He is a finance executive who has held managerial positions in South Africa, Australia and the United States of America. His experience includes, inter alia, listed companies, the JSE and management reporting, external and internal audit, Company secreterial functions, implementing corporate governance structures and concluding acquisitions. Barry is currently the Financial Director of Myriad Medical (Proprietary) Limited and Myriad Medical Holdings Limited. Prior to this he was group financial controller at two listed South African companies and audit manager at Deloitte.
